Birth Name: Suniel ShettySUNIEL SHETTY BOLLYWOOD 001

Suniel Shetty, one of the few macho men in the Bollywood, is best known for his style in thrills - the way he manhandles the villain group and executes the fights. And he's known for his gentlemanly attitude off the screen too.

Date of Birth: 11 August 1961

Height: 5' 11" (1.82 m)

Biography:

Suniel Shetty started his career with the film Balwaan in the year 1992. The film wasn't a big hit but his acting capabilities were noticed. The very next year, he gave three hit films Anth, Pehchaan and Waqt Hamara Hai. And the year next 2 that, in 1994, he gave his first major blockbuster hit, an action thriller Mohra. Later that year he also had another hit with the romantic drama film Dilwale and the comedy film Gopi Kishan.
He was mostly concerned with action genre in the 90s. In 1997, for the first time he played the role of an army officer, in the war epic Border. He went on to play patriotic roles in films such as Refugee (2001), Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003) and LOC: Kargil (2003).
His major hits in comedy films are Hera Pheri, Awara Paagal Deewana, Phir Hera Pheri and De Dana Dan. He won his first and only Filmfare Award for Best Villain in 2001 for his performance in Dhadkan.
As a producer, he set up a production company called Popcorn Motion Pictures Ltd, which produced the films Khel, Rakht: What If You Can See the Future and Bhagam Bhag. In recent years he has mostly played small roles in multi-starred films.

Personal Life:

Sunil Shetty was born in Mangalore, Karnataka to a Tulu speaking family. He started his own hotel business and owns some hotels specializing in Udupi cuisine (vegetarian and non-vegetarian).

De Dana Dan: Rs 49 Crores (Total Gross Collection)

Fashion:

He is not the ultimate style guru of Bollywood. But odes know how to look right. Some of his looks in his movies have been highly appreciated. He is seen experimenting with his hair-do the most. Like in the film 'Chocolate', his look gave him a distinct persona and suited his character well. In PAHELI he has pushed his hair back while in GOPI KISHEN, the look is said to go very well with the rustic northern character he was playing in the film.
He also makes a style statement with a tattoo of 'Om Namah Shivay' and 'The Third Eye' on his arm. The actor is known to be a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva, which is the reason for him to choose that tattoo.
